Ms. Klein’s experience includes being Policy Research Associate at the Beach Center on Disability where she co-authored several journal articles about disability policy and provided extensive tracking and analysis of federal disability law. She provided leadership for a national summit on disability policy by co-chairing a committee of top-level executives and government leaders to establish consensus on supports for individuals with disabilities.

Ms. Klein has provided written and oral testimony at legislative hearings and has also helped citizens prepare to testify. She also organized and prepared parents to meet with public officials and employers so that they could get public agencies and corporations to be more responsive to their needs.

She helped advocate for children with disabilities under the Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) when it was first established in Missouri and Kansas, and also when Medicaid waivers were developed in both states.
